Northeast Kingdom (NEK) Basket Supply has been in existence since August 2007 in East Burke, VT and is owned
and operated by Carolyn and Lyle Starr. After retiring to Vermont from the Washington, DC area in 1997, Carolyn
began taking classes to learn the many techniques of basket weaving. In 2006 the opportunity to purchase a basket
supply company came about. With Carolyn's love for basket weaving and the skills Lyle has in woodworking,
they decided to purchase the basket supply business. Lyle makes the slotted bases, wire handles and hangers,
wood feet, leather strap handles and leather backpack straps.

NEK carries everything necessary to weave a beautiful basket from start to finish.
